Background

This web page details the OEM connector that mates with the NGK wide band oxygen (WBO2) sensor. There has been recent demand for this connector following the public domain posting of the WBO2 interface electronics which provide a relatively accurate measurement of air fuel ratios from 10:1 to 20:1. The project is known as DIY-WB and details can be found at the DIY-EFI web page.

Being able to mate to the WBO2 sensor with the OEM connector is very convenient and provides a reliable connection. Some people have been able to find the correct connector on pre-owned Honda vehicles through a salvage yard. For those people who may need more than one connector and/or do not have easy access to a source of used Honda vehicles, purchasing the new connectors is now possible at a reasonable price.

A picture of the NGK WBO2 sensor is shown here. Pictures of the mating connector are shown here.

Sumitomo Connectors

In order to build one mating connector, the following parts are required: 1 female shell, 1 retainer, 7 female terminals, 7 wire seals, and 1 dummy plug.  A summary of the Sumitomo part numbers and old price quote is listed here.

Connector Availability

I am no longer selling the Sumitomo connectors.  You may be able to purchase it from Tech Edge.
